Looking for dog sitting near me that feels just like home?
At Pawtastic Dog Care, we provide loving, cage-free dog boarding and in-home pet sitting, ensuring your furry friend receives personalized care in a stress-free environment.
Have you ever been on your phone checking your messages, only to look up and see your dog staring at you?
Ever wondered what a conversation between you and your pup would look like if they could text?
I had a visit from a friend who has never owned a pet before. It was a beautiful day, so we decided to take my dog for a walk. Before heading out, I casually spelled out “W-A-L-K” to be discreet. My friend looked at me like I was crazy and, without thinking, repeated the word out loud—and just like that, my dog went from zero to pure chaos mode. 😆 Tail wagging, zoomies, full-on excitement. My friend finally got it: dog parents have to speak in code!

A Little Talk About Probiotics for Your Pups!
As a dog sitter and fellow dog lover, I wanted to share something that a few of my clients have been using for their dogs – probiotics! It’s been really interesting to hear how it’s helped improve their pups' digestive health, and it might be something worth considering for your own dog!
Leaving your dog with a sitter or at a boarding facility can be overwhelming for both you and your pup. Some dogs settle in quickly, while others may take longer to feel comfortable in a new environment.
Recently, I had the pleasure of caring for an older dog whose cute nose and sparkly eyes melted my heart. He still wantedto run and play like a puppy, but his body couldn’t quite keep up. It got me thinking—how common is this? I’ve seen my fair share of senior pups, and just like people, they’re all different. Some slow down, while others act like they’re still in their prime!
Spring is finally here—the season of fresh blooms, longer days, and endless outdoor adventures. There's something magical about this time of year: the scent of flowers drifting through the air, birds chirping in the morning, and the gentle warmth of the sun after a long winter. It’s also the perfect time to refresh your pup’s treat routine with healthy, natural snacks straight from your kitchen.
The first time I caught my dog, Lexi, chewing on my child’s toy—a toy that was definitely not hers—she froze. Ears back, tail wagging guiltily, eyes wide with that classic “Uh-oh, I’ve been caught” look. Lexi knew she wasn’t supposed to chew it, but boredom had gotten the best of her.
That’s when it hit me. She wasn’t being "bad"—she was just bored.
